"I checked my 100C's accuracy using a GPS and topo map and it was 'spot-on' true north. I also checked the compass in the local hills where sometimes compasses can be finicky due to the mineral deposits - it worked fine, checked again with GPS and a topo map."

"Tru-Nord compasses are advertised as being water and shock resistant. I dropped mine into a bucket of 56 degree water and left it overnight without damage. I also dropped the compass from heights of 3' to 9' onto hard ground and my small woodpile. Again, no damage."

"Thanks for so promptly calling me back on repairing my Tru-Nord compass. I really did appreciate your willingness to repair it even after it went through a complete wash, rinse, and dry cycle in our washing machine and dryer. My wife said to throw it away but I couldn't and I decided to see if you had a website."

"I'm glad I did. I've used your compasses since the 1960's and have puchased them for friends over the years. I do believe they are the best available for hunters. I've never lost one and I've had occasion to question their accuracy when I got turned around in the woods."

"It was either Davy Crockett or Daniel Boone who when asked if he'd ever been lost said something like "no, but I've been turned around occasionally for a few weeks at a time". Too bad they didn't have one of your compasses."

"Today is arrived, in a sturdy package (good!), the Model 100C Compass."
It is a lot very made and much accurate. In fact, I have made a test with an electronic compass and the precision of this small great compass has truly astonished to me! I think, that in the next few days, I will buy another compass. Thanks."

"I bought my first Tru-Nord about 30 years ago. It was made by V.E. Budlong then. Now a few owners later, G.G. Satre continues the "Tru-Nord"  indestructible compass units.

It is the Model 200C / 200CB pin-ons which can virtually NOT get unpinned!

Since then I now own the 100C Pocket and 300C Wrist models.

They are much like Coleman lantern or Zippo lighter...just keep on working, a refreshing idea nowadays."
